Summer 2009 Financial Aid
Message:
If you are planning on enrolling in classes for the Summer 2009 and are interested in being considered for financial aid, you must complete the Summer Financial Aid Application. Summer aid will be awarded based on remaining eligibility for the 2008-2009 academic year. Please review the Summer Information sheet for information. Information and forms are located on the financial aid website under Forms. All request must be completed and received by May 12, 2009.
Incomplete forms will not be processed. Please be advised you must remain enrolled to be eligible for aid. If you have specific questions please feel free to contact our office at 301-860-3540.

Spring Financial Aid Disbursement
Due to the extension of registration resulting from inclement weather and other issues that impacted processing. We regret to inform recipients of financial aid who are expecting a refund of excess funds that financial aid disbursements will be delayed. Disbursements were scheduled to begin on February 16, 2009, the expected date for disbursements will now be February 25, 2009. The refund process is approximately 10 -20 business days after the disbursement process occurs.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the decision to delay disbursements is necessary to insure University fiscal integrity and the accuracy of your refund.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is available for completion for the 2009-2010 academic year at www.fafsa.ed.gov . MD residents are urged to complete the FAFSA form by the March 1 deadline to be considered for programs offered by Maryland Higher Education Commission.
